Robert Colasanto began working in the darkroom in grade school. After years of working with Mamiya 120mm bodies and several favourite slide and black & white films, processing his own Cibachrome prints, he began experimenting with digital imaging. At first, being naturally biased to film, he invested in a high-end film scanner and a continuous ink-flow system to produce digital prints. Satisfied with the end product and impressed by the capabilities of his ‘just for fun’ digital cameras, Robert eventually decided to reproduce a deteriorating canvas painted by his father, using Photoshop to repair the tears. The result was stunning. Word quickly spread, and a business was born. Robert’s eye for colour and dedication to detail are evident in every print.
